Just in- another amazing find for our Hoosier Armory customers.  a very RARE Walther PPK not imported through Interarms and NOT made in Germany - a Walther USA mfg rollmark... WHAT?  There is a story behind this scenario -

"Very rare stainless steel Walther PPK chambered in 32 ACP and marked WALTHER USA LLC Springfield MA. It is in excellent condition and a must have for any PPK collector. Only produced for 6 months at the end of 1999 and the beginning of 2000. This is a PPK with special serial number ending in AAA. This is the rarest run of PPK. Only 100 rounds through it to check function. Runs perfectly as expected. It is unmodified and factory original. Comes with 2 factory magazines and the original box. Also comes with 2 additional Mecgar magazines. For more information about the history of this firearm see the paragraph below.

After the Walther PPK was banned for import into the US, in 1983 Interarms started producing PPK under license by Walther. In 1998 the owner of Interarms, Samuel Cummings, passed away and the company struggled. They stopped producing the PPK shortly after but Walther had 9,600 PPK parts kits already shipped into the US that still needed to be assembled into complete guns. Of these 6,600 were chambered in 380 ACP and 3,000 were chambered in 32 ACP. Needing help, Walther approached Smith and Wesson with a business proposal to start manufacturing the PPK but still had these 9,600 parts kits stored in a warehouse. Smith and Wesson, not wanting to lose the licensing deal for the future PPK, agreed to assemble the parts kits but they refused to stamp their name on a product that they did not manufacture. So Walther opened a temporary company know as Walther USA LLC just to complete these guns and stamped that on these firearms. Smith and Wesson gunsmiths assembled the Walther made parts. This is one of the rare PPK that was produced during that small timeframe. Smith and Wesson then went on to manufacture the PPK from 2002 to 2013. The PPK stamped Walther USA LLC are the rarest run of models ever produced and even fewer were chambered in the original 007 caliber of 32 ACP just as this one is."

**Collector Alert **bore is bright and shiny- super clean as the pics show...
