This Hi- Power may be one of the last models off the FN factory floor to go to Browning.
FN officially stopped production of the High Power around 2016-2017 and this was a smaller order than previous years. Any orders for High Power pistols from browning after 2018 were most likely fulfilled using a back stock of parts. It is also possible that Browning took possession of all the remaining FN stock some time that same year or in late 2018 or early 2019. It is the belief that Browning liquidated most of these rather quickly but held on to just a small batch of these last run pistols for some odd reason. Maybe they wound up in limbo due to covid, lost on a shelf,or some other factors. We had the opportunity to purchase several of these newly assembled pistols and you got the most updated model out of our inventory. This model is upgraded with a better barrel, better springs and a stronger frame and slide. It also has the upgraded RDIH ambi mag release. Also available to have is a 9mm barrel, there is a MFG who makes a heavy duty barrel that fits the bigger .40 slide and gives the customer a multi cal option.
